Universal Laws Govern Us – a Recap (Part 8 of 8)

Universal Laws and principles were set out at the creation of our cosmos. Some, like gravity, affect form, while others govern emotion, intention, relationship – which are all linked to creation.

(Links to parts 1-7 of this series are below)

Because we are still linked to the original Universal creative force we emanated from, some of these laws and principles influence us and govern our relationship to it – and to its creative power.

We all came forth as loving expressions of this God-force, and will eventually realign with it. All its creations – everything and everyone – are linked by a unifying principle. As such, there is a Oneness that connects us to them all.

At the beginning – and before form, all the creations embodied unconditional love and a sense of unity – and a unity of purpose. However, somewhere along the way the connection to these harmonious and co-operative ways of expression were lost.

Universal Laws and principles can help us rekindle the unconditional love

and sense of unity we once held, but lost our connection to.

These laws and principles are simply explanations of how to uphold the required vibrations to align with the Universal forces, so that we can take advantage of what is not only available to us, but what is actually our inheritance.

When we do not adhere to these laws and principles, then by default, our own internal thoughts and ideas – with their limiting fears, worries, judgments, etc. prevail.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “ About Book  here

and “Why We Are the Way We Are”  About Book  here

(Book cover images below)

We once effortlessly brought forth glorious realities merging the powerful Father energy and the creative Mother energy in perfect balance while still maintaining the concept of a unity of consciousness and purpose. We did this within the auspices of free will.

However, somewhere along the way, the thought that I-can-do-it-on-my-own – apart from the original creative force arose. Free will allowed this to occur. We thought we had separated from the Oneness, but we had not, as that bond could never be broken.

In time, our sense of connectedness, unity of purpose, and all that was inherent to the Oneness was forgotten or ignored, leading to duality and polarity – to the pull between love and fear – and all their offshoots that have become part of our default operating system.

We still hold a memory of that Oneness. This is what has created longing within us.

Deep within the recesses of our unconscious we remember the unconditional love,

and sense of unity, shared purpose, and co-operation.

We know it is right. And possible. However, the connection to it is most often just beyond our reach. The holy people and Masters were sent to help us realign with the precepts of unconditional love and unity, but for the most part, we ignored, misperceived, or were so stuck in the darkness we didn’t understand their messages.

Whatever words we use when speaking of that higher power – the Universal creative force, be it God, Creator, Source, Allah, Holy Spirit, or simply the term Universe, the notion that there is an organizing, benevolent principle at play to guide and support us, has always been around. It is, and has been, of great comfort to us.

We just have to look up at the sky in the day and the stars and planets at night to understand that there must be a higher power holding it all together. We cannot deny that something with a magical quality is orchestrating it all.

Then we look at the chaos in our world, and cannot make a connection. Humans inherited this duality and polarity from a time beyond form, and as we played it out, our connection to the love and unity we once embodied grew weaker and weaker.

It is Our Cosmic Time to Override Our Past

We are now at the pinnacle of our evolution, and it is our cosmic time to find our way out. It is our time to override the habitual behaviors that we inherited from the past, but that have become our norm: our operating system.

Understanding and applying the Universal Laws is part of our guidance to do so. So is understanding our existence as a whole and our connection to the cosmos. (I explain these concepts more fully in chapter 8, “Science” in Your Journey to Peace, Bridging the Gap Between Religion, Spirituality, Psychology, and Science.

The separation we thought we had brought about by doing-it-on-our-own is the first illusion we bought into. which lead us to create illusion upon illusion – until conditional love and separate agendas became the only truths we knew. They actually became our survival tools.

Over time, many, many concepts have been deemed Universal Laws, as with the ancient Hermetic Laws. Other philosophies, like A Course in Miracles, puts forth concepts like Cause and Effect, but do not call them laws. Linda Dillon suggests 13 Universal Laws, some similar to, and others different than mine.

Here is a small recap of the six Universal Laws I write about. The six I chose to focus on were relevant to the self-help, self-understanding parts of my writing. (Links to the posts on the individual Universal Laws I write about are below.

My Six Universal Laws

First, the Law of Openness denotes that we have to be in a state of receptivity to be able to fully access the love, joy, sense of unity and empowerment, and the other gifts available to us from the Universe.

Second, the Law of Authenticity indicates that we need to come from an honest place within ourselves. We must be aware of our intentions, motivations, and default ways of being.

Third, the well-known Law of Attraction confirms that we are vibration and maintains the principles that “like attracts like” and that “we are the creator of our own realities.”

Fourth, the Law of Cause and Effect clarifies that we are the cause of our experiences – not at the effect of the world around us, as until recently we believed we were.

Fifth, the Law of Balance suggests that we should strive to live in a way that promotes a sense of equilibrium in our lives and harmony in our beings. To do so, we have to make peace with all parts of ourselves, as well as the world around us.

And finally, the Law of Expansion comes into play in our lives once the other laws are well integrated into our beings, whereby the exponential function allows us to take a sharp upward turn and expand into all that we can be.

The Universal Law of Expansion – Part 2/2

When we evolve to the point that we evoke the Universal Law of Expansion, it not only affects our individual lives, it also affects the collective.

For Part 1 see HERE

(This is the 7th article in a series of 8 on Universal Laws. More info at end).

Everything that is emitted from us – positive or negative affects the collective. Every thought, intention, word, response, and behavior, holds a vibration. Vibration is fluid. It cannot be contained. It expands out from us.

When we raise our vibration we raise our consciousness. And when we raise our consciousness to the point that we engage the Law of Expansion, all of the positive vibrations have gone out into the world. So do all the long-term positive effects of our expanded, more loving, and inclusive consciousness.

However, both our individual and collective growths have starts, stops, spurts of growth, spurts of inertia, and the seemingly two-steps-forward and one-step-backward movement. We see this in the world today – and it can be confusing.

This article is based on my writings.

See below for more information on this and my other books – all aimed to better ourselves.

The Law of Expansion and the Collective

There are many stories and legends in ancient history that show how Humanity tried, and failed, in its efforts to overcome the auspices of duality’s hate, greed, control, brutality, etc. Inevitably, the many steps forward were repeatedly followed by more steps back.

Enlightened periods, like the Renaissance and the 1960’s, shone through.  Since the world wars it has seemed that we have been on a positive trajectory with more steps forward than backward. Or, so it seemed until recently.

It may seem that even the Western world is in more chaos than ever with all the hatred aimed at groups of people. The inequality, biases, and abuse of power towards women, minorities, the gay community, the poor and underprivileged etc., may seem more blatant than ever.

However, it was always there, but hidden, and is actually all coming up for healing. Just like with individuals, we can only heal what we are aware of.

We are actually at a pinnacle of our evolution.

It is our cosmic time to wake up – individually and collectively.

To wake up from the false paradigm Humanity fell into eons ago,

which was based on the aspects of fear, instead of the qualities of love.

We unknowingly perpetrated this fear, blaming, controlling, divisive, power-based me-against-you way of being to such an extent that it became our default position – that until very recently, we bought into.

We are now addressing the issues of injustice and inequality this controlling, power-based system that now runs all aspects of society created, and are attempting to move towards healing the various aspects of it and ways that it manifests in the world.

Everywhere we turn people are calling for fairness, justice, and equality for all, especially for the marginalized, for transparency from those in power positions, and reconcilliatory measures for individuals or groups of people whom we allowed, or caused, to become disenfranchised.

It has been a long road to get from the brutality of the past towards the masses to this forward momentum of compassion and fairness for all. Recognizing that Humanity is approaching the sharp turn upward can encourage us when we see or hear of unfairness, inequality, cruelty, or chaos still manifesting in our world.

The Universal Law of Expansion

One day, our individual and collective futures will hold only steps forward!

With every attitude shift away from those based in fear, judgment, and hatred to those based in love, acceptance, and compassion we move in the direction of the exponential function, until finally, we find we expand into the fearless, limitless beings we were meant to be.

Law of Expansion - Universal Law 6 (of 6)

The Universal Law of Expansion – Part 1/2 (and Part 7 in series of 8 on Universal Law)

We invoke the Law of Expansion when the other Universal Laws are well integrated into our being.

(Link to Part 2 below – as are links to the other 7 articles in this series on Universal Laws)

Positive momentum gathers within us as we embrace the cosmic principles set forth that affect us when the universe was created, and as this force feeds off itself, we start to become empowered in all areas of our life, until finally, we expand into all that we can be.

Although through our free will we can ignore the Universal Laws and their principles, we can only tap into Universal flow and the power within it when we are aligned with them. (This is the 7th of 8 in my series on the Universal Laws for the Starlit Path Magazine. All previous ones can be found on my blogs. Links below)

Here is recap of each of the Universal Laws I already wrote about. (I started the series with a general article Understanding Universal Law – also found on my blog).

  • First, the Law of Openness denotes the need to be open-hearted – in a state of receptivity.
  • Second, the Law of Authenticity indicates that we must come from an honest place within ourselves.
  • Third, the well-known Law of Attraction maintains the principle that like attracts like.
  • Fourth, the Law of Cause and Effect clarifies that we are the cause of our experiences, not at the effect of the world around us.
  • The fifth is The Law of Balance and it suggests that we have to make peace with all parts of ourselves as well as the world around us.
  • The sixth, which I am discussing today, is the Law of Expansion where we evoke the exponential function into our lives as we create upward momentum in our spiritual growth.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “ About Book  here

and “Why We Are the Way We Are”  About Book  here

(Book cover images below)

(I grouped the Universal Laws into six different categories, and these are just general guidelines. There are others, and some people divide them up into more details, or use different names, but most of what we need for our personal understanding and growth is contained within these. My 8 in the series comprised of an Introduction and a Conclusion).

The Law of Expansion and Individuals

As we continuously apply ourselves to aligning our thoughts, attitudes, words, and behaviors with positivity, the qualities of love, and the themes of the Universal Laws that apply to us we become more positive and loving.

And as we anchor in the confidence from all the little emotional and personal gains we make, we become more secure in the process.

Our efforts do not necessarily have to be hard work. It is often simply the letting go of what is blocking us from becoming all we were meant to be. Lighter attitudes allow us to align with universal flow. Denser attitudes create blocks to it.

Therefore, it is the shifting away from dense anger-based and divisive, judgmental, prejudicial attitudes, our propensity to blame others, and all other me-against-you concepts – to lighter love-based attitudes that uphold ideas of unity, acceptance, fairness towards all, the taking of responsibility for our attitudes and actions, and of embracing me-and-you concepts that break down the blockages to us growing emotionally and spiritually.

The Universal Law of ExpansionOur emotional and spiritual growth as well as our personal successes may also come about with a combination of things falling easily into place, then we struggle; of spurts of letting go, then falling back into old habits or ways of being; of hard work, then times of inertia.

Sometimes we may feel like we are hitting brick walls.

When this happens, we just have to be patient with our self. Upping our spiritual practices helps.

Letting go and growing emotionally and spiritually is mostly done on an internal level, often without any outward signs to signify our advancement. It can be frustrating. Cosmic forces are always at work, and sometimes it is simply cosmic timing that is holding our growth and/or success at bay, such as with the lunar cycles and the cosmic / astrological forces, which affect us on many levels that we are not aware of.

All of our efforts to better ourselves, even the ups and downs as these often encourage self-reflection which helps us gain more insight into our psyche, play together in concert.

And once we have incorporated the themes of the Universal Laws into our everyday life in a way that transforms our way of thinking and being in the world to be congruent with the love and Oneness inherent in the universe, we are primed to step into our full potential and expand into all we can be.

The Universal Law of Expansion

All of a sudden, things may just seem to fall into place and all aspects of our life come together. We have gained enough upward momentum to engage the Law of Expansion, and as we ride the wave of the exponential function our life takes a sharp turn upward.

I continue these themes as I discuss the Law of Expansion and the Collective in Part 2. See HERE

The Universal Law of Balance – Part 3/3

In Parts 1 and 2 I discussed how the Law of Balance affects us on the cosmic and human levels, here I continue by discussing how it affects our spiritual life.

For Part 1 See  here   Part 2 here

(This article on Universal Law (in 3 parts) is from a series of 8 articles on Universal Law. Links to the other 7 are below)

We know know that it is through our heart-connection that we access the spiritual world, so we must ensure we open our hearts and keep them open so that we can develop a strong spiritual connection. (I discuss the Law of Openness in my books – links are below)

The Law of Balance and Our Spiritual World

Our spiritual life needs the appropriate amount of attention for us to function effectively in the world. A healthy spiritual life is vital to us becoming our Best Self, so we have to nurture it.

Spirit speaks softly. It whispers to us through our hearts. To feel its peace and receive its guidance, we have to take some quiet time every day so that we maintain the connection. We cannot align with its peace or easily hear the guidance or messages Spirit sends us if our mind is busy and scattered, and our body tense and stressed.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “ About Book  here

and “Why We Are the Way We Are”  About Book  here

(Book cover images below)

Prayer, meditation, yoga, chanting, journaling, reading holy books, or any of the various daily spiritual practices keep our connection to Spirit strong. So does getting lost in beautiful music or art, spending time in nature, and doing what brings us joy. A combination of formal practice and doing what we love and brings us joy and a peaceful feeling is the best recipe for keeping the airwaves to Universal flow open.

Keeping a healthy balance between a focus on material and spiritual matters is also vital. If we become overly concerned with material matters, such as attaining, success, or the focus on our bodies, we will be thrown off kilter and lose the full benefits of our spiritual connection.

Over-spiritualizing life is also an easy trap to fall into, and when we do so we will also become unbalanced: we would find life difficult. We came here in bodies to be in the world.

Most of us are meant to simply express our spirituality and serve God through every day dealings with people and the world – by being loving and compassionate with all whom we come in contact with.

Staying Balanced / Allowing for Imbalance

Still, there may be times in our lives that will call for us to tip the scale off balance to one side, like caring for a newborn baby, being an intern training to be a doctor, or doing an extended spiritual retreat.

And some people’s life purpose is to serve Humanity and the world in a spiritual way, like the clergy, rabbis, yogis, or monks, whereby their lives are dedicated to service, prayer, meditation, etc. Their purpose is not only to guide us on our spiritual path, but they also hold the space of spiritual grace open and alive in the world by their consistent connection to Universal flow. We all benefit from this – even though we are unaware of it.

Apart from the special cases mentioned above, most of us are meant to live balanced lives, keeping a healthy balance between our physical, mental, and spiritual worlds so that we can become all we are meant to be, while using all aspects of our God-given gifts.

We can choose to live life as we please because we have been given free will, however, if we live an unbalanced life, we will suffer the consequences of doing so. We will experience the effects of our choices – whether or not they bring us happiness, help or hinder us creating the life we want, allow us to be in harmony with others, or aid us in our spiritual growth.

The Universal Law of Balance – Part 2/3

In Part 1 I discussed how the Law of Balance affects us on a cosmic level, here I continue by discussing how it affects us on the human level.

See here for Part 1   here for Part 3

(This Law of Balance is the 6th in a series of 8 articles on Universal Laws. Links to other 7 are at end).

On the Human Level

To become all that we are meant to be – to become our Best Self, we need to follow the principles of the Law of Balance that pertain to us and ensure we live in a way that promotes a sense of equilibrium in our lives and harmony in our beings.

To do so we must look after our physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual worlds – and keep them in proper balance.

Our Physical World is comprised of looking after our body with our eating and drinking habits, our physical activity, and our energy output.  If we are unbalanced or over indulge in any areas of our everyday life, such as eating/drinking unhealthily or over eating/drinking, over working, over socializing, or being unnecessarily lazy or apathetic, the Law of Balance will bring us back to center – at one point or another.

This may come about as a desire to better our self, an inspiration that leads to a spiritual awakening that shifts our focus, or, if we continue to abuse our self something may happen that brings about an unwanted change, like an illness or a great loss where we have no choice but to shift our focus.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “ About Book  here

and “Why We Are the Way We Are”  About Book  here

(Book cover images below)

Our Emotional World affects us both physically and spiritually. It is now common knowledge that we are what we think and that if we are fearful or negative, or focus on our issues or on disease (ours, others, real, or imaged) we anchor these in, or invite new ones into our life. If we focus on divisiveness – on our differences with others and emphasize these and ignore the Oneness we all share, we will create conflict with those around us.

All these scenarios bring chaos in our lives and cause us emotional turmoil; however, we have been unaware that underlying influences have been causing us to act in ways that were counter-intuitive to our peace and happiness, and in creating harmony with others.

Unbeknownst to us, Unconscious Influences run our lives – without our consent. How we feel, how we react, and often what we do, or don’t do, are based not only on our past experiences – the positive and negative ones – and the inner-heart beliefs and habitual patterns these created, but also on what we inherited from our ancestry and Humanity’s history – from our familial, generational, cultural, and religious / spiritual backgrounds.

Until recently it was not widely known that it is our emotional world – our wounds and what we focus on that keeps us in negative and habitual thought patterns and in highly reactive or passive states.

Nor did we know that it is these ways of being that invite conflict and unwanted circumstances into our lives. Conflict and unwanted circumstances often lure us into focusing solely on them, creating an imbalance of focus, which invites more negativity into our life. Vicious cycles begin.

Negative and emotionally imbalanced responses create pull-and-push scenarios keeping the vicious cycles going, making it difficult to break out of them.

It is only when we honestly look at and address our feelings, attitudes, and behaviors, aim to understand where other people are coming from, and examine our approach to life and others, that we can start to override our negative unconscious habitual responses.

It is not our fault that we are stuck in these negative and reactive states and patterns. Humanity’s past history lured us into fearful, survival, and negative thinking patterns that caused us to close our hearts and keep our psyches in overdrive.

In the Western world most of us now are no longer in survival mode, however we have retained the habit of an overactive mind, which has been supported by today’s society with its focus on physical needs and achieving.

As such, our minds have become consumed with our physical and mental well-being, with little time or energy to consider our spiritual well-being. Recent society has also touted the importance of mind and money matters over feeling and heart matters, discouraging us from being open-hearted.

We now know that we can and must override our negative, habitual patterns to find peace in our lives, as well as help create a peaceful world.

We have also recently learned that it is through our heart-connection that we access the spiritual world, so we must ensure we open our hearts and keep them open so that we can develop a strong spiritual connection.

About Why ..hereAbout Journey …  here

The Universal Law of Balance – Part 1 of 3 (and Part 6 in series of 8 on Universal Law)

The Law of Balance was set in place because our Universe is one of duality and polarity. Of yin and yang. I see the Law of Balance as having two aspects that affect us, but at different levels of our existence.

There is the cosmic balancing law that works to hold the Universe and everything in it in proper balance, which affects us on the ethereal/psychic level and in consideration with our soul’s journey. This usually happens without our awareness.

  • The more human day-to-day way this Universal truth applies to us is that to function at our highest potentials while in physical form we need keep the various aspects of our being – our mind, body, and soul, or the mental, physical, and spiritual parts of us in proper balance. Our mental and physical aspects are intended to support what the spiritual part of us, or our soul, came here to do.

On the Ethereal Level

At this level, the Law of Balance deals with our soul’s growth and its journey back to fully embracing the Oneness we are all a part of. To that end, each lifetime acts like a classroom whereby we are given lessons to learn and circumstances we are born into that allow for soul growth.

The specific lessons and circumstances of each lifetime are dependent upon which part of our soul’s journey we are to experience and fulfill here and now, as well how we managed and responded to what was set out in our past or most recent lifetime(s).

Although special circumstances may be preordained – like for the lives of the Masters, for most of us the deciding factors from the past or recent lifetimes taken into account are usually some combination of;

  • 1) how we handled the lessons we were to learn;
  • 2) how we navigated the circumstances we were born into, or situations that arose, and
  • 3) the balancing out of any harsh circumstances / situations that were not in our life plan.

1) How we managed the lessons we were to learn in the past lifetime(s) will dictate the circumstances of this lifetime. For example, if in our past life our lesson was to embrace our Oneness by overcoming a propensity to control and we were unable to override this urge to control others to their detriment or control situations that brought about negative results, in our next lifetime we will likely be at the beck and call of controllers. And if we were able to override our propensity to control, it is like we passed that test, and we will have new lessons to learn / or tendencies to override in the next lifetime.

2) How we dealt with the circumstances we were born into or situations that arose in our most recent lifetime(s) will dictate what our circumstances will be in this one. For example, if we were born into wealth and were stingy and/or wielded the power wealth brings with it over others, we will likely be born into impoverished or difficult circumstances next time. Conversely, if we were born into poverty and lived a life of integrity, generosity, and compassion for others, our life situation will likely be much better next time around.

3) Sometimes we are the victim of horrific circumstances / situations that were not in our life plan, and this is often balanced out next time around. As duality and free will play out, people are often caught in dire or war situations and suffer loss or physical or mental abuse by happenstance. Depending on how this is managed and the extent of the pain, these souls are often compensated in the next lifetime and are born into a nice and safe situation. They may have what might be considered an easy life.

These are some of the reasons it is so important not to judge others for their attitudes and behaviors or be disapproving of people’s life circumstances. As most of us go through life, we are simply attempting to navigate our life lessons or left-over karma as best we can, while some of us are benefiting from an earned ease of life. This balancing out in our various lifetimes is akin to the Eastern concept of karma.

About Why ..here About Journey …  here

The Universal Law of Cause and Effect (Part 5 in series of 8 on Universal Law)

The premise of the Law of Cause and Effect is that for every cause there is an effect!

(This is the 5th article is from a series of 8 on Universal Law. Link to other 7 are at end).

Most belief systems tell us that creation codes were set out at the beginning of the Universe and that cosmic forces are always at play – and that many affect us. Often called the Universal Laws, many of them are similar and/or overlap.

For example, the Law of Cause and Effect is not dissimilar to the Law of Attraction, but it is just a little more specific.

I base the Law of Cause and Effect I am putting forth here on concepts in A Course in Miracles, but it is also deemed one of the ancient Hermetic Laws. The idea is basically the same: for every cause, there is an effect.

For us, the Law of Cause and Effect explains how we can become the cause of our life experiences, rather than at the effect of unconscious influences that run our lives or of the world around us.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

“Your Journey to Peace … “ here  for About

“Why We Are the Way We Are” here for About

(Available in print and e-book, Cover images are below)

The Eastern concept of karma is another well-known concept that offers an explanation of how some of the laws of the Universe, including the Law of Cause and Effect, play out for us.

The Law of Cause and Effect is really just a different way of explaining karma, whose premise is what we send out into the world will be returned to us – good or bad.

Many have confused God’s revenge with the karmic Law of Cause and Effect playing out in our lives.

What we experience are just the creation codes of the Universe playing out.

  • Thoughts create attitudes.
  • Attitudes create actions.
  • For every action there is a reaction.
  • For every push there is a pull.
  • For every pull there is a push-back.

The Bible tells us that we will sow what we reap – that the quality of what we put out there (cause) is what will be returned to us (effect).

Within complete Oneness there is no duality. No Karma. No Cause and Effect. No Action and Reaction. Because as Arten tells us in Gary Renard’s The Disappearance of the Universe, most of our reactions and actions come from a need to release because the world of duality we live in is characterized by “tension and release.” (1)

Cause and Effect and the Universe

As everything in our Universe is expanding and in a state of flux, something is directing things – causing them to move, change, grow, or come into existence.

The Universal Law of Cause and Effect

Stanislav Grof tells us in The Holotropic Mind that when physicists explored the micro world, they concluded that objects are actually an interweaving “complex web of unified events and relationships.” Something causes something to happen. In science they use the term Causality. Cause = Effect. (2)

Grof then concluded that “consciousness does not just passively reflect the material world; it plays an active role in creating reality itself.” The hypothesis is that there must be a consciousness that is directing – creating. (3)

Cause and Effect and Us

We are consciousness. We are reality. We therefore have an active role in the creation process. In our creation process. Active role = Intention. Intention is Decisiveness. Decisiveness can Direct. We can Direct. We can Direct our Thoughts and Actions at will. We can become the Cause rather than be at the Effect of our unconscious choices or the world around us.

What are the root-causes of our experiences? Are they conscious, or unconscious? Directed, or whatever …? Are we aware? Do we think about it? Do we care? Are we responsive, or Reactive? Do we want to choose our life experiences, or allow them to happen willy-nilly?

Do we want to be the cause of our life experiences, or be at the effect of our unconscious mind or the world around us? The Law of Cause and Effect builds on the premise of the Law of Attraction. We now understand through the Law of Attraction that we bring into our lives that which we ask for with our vibrations.

So, it only follows that if we want a different experience than what we are getting, we need to change our vibrations to reflect what we want. To Direct them so we can be the cause of our experiences.

It also follows that if we act and react unconsciously, unaware of the vibrations we are emitting, we are at the effect of our unconscious – we are not the cause – not the Directive of our life.

To invite better experiences into our life, we do not even have to be aware of this vibrational shift or the idea of cause and effect. The understanding of this vibrational aspect and of cause and effect has not in the past been at the forefront of psychology programs or Western religious teaching. However, in the past few decades many of us have gone searching for truths that were kept hidden from us.

The Universal Law of Cause and Effect

Much has recently been discovered and we now understand that attitudes and the vibrations they give off affect all areas of our life. And any who have made conscious positive shifts in attitudes have raised their vibrations and experienced the benefits of being the cause of new experiences, rather than at the effect of past ones – those that were not giving them what they wanted.

The Law of Cause and Effect plays out in our lives – whether we are aware of it or not.

So, we might as well use it to our advantage – to create the life we want.

When we become conscious of the affects our thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors have, or will have, on ourselves, our life, and on others and choose those that will give us the affects we want we are using the Law of Cause and Effect as intended – to be the Directors of our life creations – of our life.

Understanding Universal Law – Part 3/3

In parts 1 and 2 of Understanding Universal Law I discussed how even though the Universal Laws are over-arching principles of how the Universe works they also pertain to us because we too exist within the same Universal matrix. (Link to parts 1 and 2 below)

I also discussed their history and showed that all major religions and thought systems offer us at least the concepts held within the major and well-known Universal Laws.

Here are the first 3 Universal Laws from Part 2, as well as the next 3 – all excepted from my newly released book, Why We Are the Way We Are (info on book below).

1st,the Law of Openness denotes that we have to be in a state of receptivity to be able to access the love, joy, sense of empowerment and other gifts available to us from the Universe.

2nd, the Law of Authenticity indicates that we need to come from an honest place within ourselves. We must understand where our motivations come from.

3rd, the well-known Law of Attraction confirms that we are vibration and maintains the principles that “like attracts like” and “we are the creator of our own realities.”

4th, the Law of Cause and Effect clarifies that we are the cause of our experiences, not at the effect of the world around us.

5th, the Law of Balance suggests that we should strive to live in a way that promotes a sense of equilibrium in our lives and harmony in our beings. To become balanced, we also have to make peace with all parts of ourselves as well as the world around us.

And finally, the Law of Expansion comes into play in our lives once the other laws are well integrated into our beings, whereby the exponential function allows us to take a sharp upward turn and expand into all that we can be.

This is an except from my new book, Why We Are the Way We Are

(Book 1 of my new ‘Our Journeys to Peace’ Series)

Universal Law and the Planes of Existence

Universal Law and its principles apply to, link, and govern the various planes of existence – the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. Everything in the physical plane is either in a phase of growth, or decay.

The mental plane, or consciousness, is either in a state of thinking, planning, or creating – whether through the individual or the collective mind.

The spiritual plane embodies the All – the Oneness: it sees the big picture. Our higher Self resides on this spiritual plane. This is why it is always encouraging us to understand the big picture and to embrace attitudes that align with the qualities of Oneness.

Even though we and our bodies are on the physical plane, aligning with the Universal Laws allows us to access the spiritual plane – and all that it embodies.

When our vibrations are aligned with the principles of the Universal Laws, they are in harmony with those of the universal creative force and we can tap into its unconditional love and the power it holds.

Understanding Universal Law - Part 3/3

Being positive, joyful, having hope, having an open heart, and being fearless are some of the qualities that align us with universal flow. So do all aspects of love and anything that upholds harmony and aims to unite.

When we are being negative, closed off, angry, judgmental, despondent, or pessimistic etc., we are distanced from universal flow, and by default we are stuck within the restrictions of our human limitations. Our power-base is weak and unconditional love is almost inaccessible.

The Universal Law of Attraction (Part 4 in a series of 8 on Universal Law)

The well-known Law of Attraction reminds us that we are vibration, and upholds the principles that “like attracts like” and that “we are the creator of our own realities.”

(Links to the other 7 articles in the series are at the end of this post).

The Law of Attraction is simply the reality that within the Universal Matrix we attract back to us experiences that hold similar vibrations to what we send out energetically. This is because our thoughts, attitudes, and actions, as well as their intentions and intensities are held within our Life Matrix* and emit vibrations that the Universe reads as requests.

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “ About Book  here

and “Why We Are the Way We Are”  About Book  here

(Book cover images below)

When we emerged from the Oneness God-energy we inherited the gift of conscious co-creation, and it was through the vibrations of our thoughts, desires, and ideas that our creations could come about. Having lost the awareness that this is how we create, we have also forgotten that this is how the Universe responds to us.

The vibrations created through our thoughts, attitudes, desires, ideas and the intentions behind them are held in our Life Matrix, which acts as our blueprint. What we emit from our blueprint is interpreted like requests, and the intensity these vibrations hold translates as a barometer of the importance of our requests.

The stronger the emotional attachment to something, be that an intense like or dislike,

the stronger the pull to attract the same back to us.

It is like a resonating energetic vibration and acts like a boomerang.

It’s really very simple. If we are compassionate, compassion will be returned to us. If we are judgmental, judgment will follow us. If we create conflict with others, conflict will surround us. And it is our general attitudes that matters. If we do falter from time to time, it does not have a major impact on how life shows up for us.

These are simple and general explanations, and it is not always the case. Sometimes our soul life plan is for us to deal with judgmental people when we are not, or those who create conflict, when we do not. Negative people are put in front of us for soul growth – so that we have opportunities to be fully accepting of even people who are negative.

Negativity and conflict promote divisiveness. The vibrations these emit are of a low resonance, and they are dense. Denseness sets up blocks between us and Universal flow.

If we want to improve how life is showing up for us, we have to shift our vibrations. Ensure we are emitting positive, uplifting, and empowering vibes. That our thoughts focus on what we want – not what’s happening now or what we don’t want.

Positive and accepting attitudes promote harmony. The vibrations these emit are of a high resonance, and they are light. Lightness allows for the back and forth of Universal flow.

Negative thoughts and attitudes are dense.  Disharmony is dense.

Positive and accepting attitudes are light. Harmony is light.

Our souls / inner beings / the Universe know the difference.

They respond to what we put out there.

When we adopt more positive thoughts and attitudes we experience more peace in the moment, as well as invite more positive circumstances into our life.

When we shift negative attitudes and behaviors and become open to new ways of looking at others and life, these newfound ways of being also pave the way for us to improve our relationships and generally feel more peace, joy, and harmony in our lives.

It is our general vibration that impacts our life the most. Being positive, light-hearted, and worry-free sets us up to receive from Universal flow, as these qualities create a lightness within us. We can then tune into Universal flow, as we are on the same wave-length

And being grateful for what we have also shifts our vibration as gratitude moves us into a high vibration – one that is synonymous with the energy of the Universe.

Being negative, heavy-hearted, and worried sets us up to have more of the same, as these qualities create a denseness within us. We cannot tune into Universal flow, as we are not on the same wave-length.

This returning of what we emit is not a judgment from God, nor a trick of nature. It is just a natural phenomenon, a Universal Law, just like gravity is to our physical environment here on earth.

The Law of Attraction is always at play, and it is actually a precursor to other Universal Laws, including the Law of Cause and Effect, which builds on the premise of the Law of Attraction, and will be the subject of my next article in this series. (Link to read below)

Universal Truths and the Masters Messages Come to Us in Many Ways

*(Our Life Matrix: Is the lens through which we view ourselves and navigate the world. It holds all of our attitudes, ideals, heart beliefs, and habitual patterns that we unconsciously developed to protect ourselves from real or perceived physical or emotional onslaughts.  It provides the impetus to become who we think we need to be and what we think we need to do to uphold these perceptions —whether they are real or false, known or unknown, or whether or not they ultimately serve our highest good).

The Universal Law of Authenticity – Part 2 /2

Our True Self is subtle. Unemotional. Quiet. It speaks through our heart. To truly come from an authentic place within our self we have to be able to connect to the subtler parts of our self. Honestly in touch with and acknowledging our feelings (hurts and fears), desires, and motivations – calmly.

And to be authentic with others we have to express from an open and clear heart. Void of any created barriers or neediness.

For Part 1 see HERE   (This is the 3rd article of 8 from my series on Universal Laws. Links to other 7 at end).

This article/blog post is based in concepts from my books

Your Journey to Peace … “  About Book  here

Why We Are the Way We AreAbout Book  here

(Both available in print and e-book, Cover images below)

Being authentic means that we are able to:

  • In tune with what we want out of life – but also why. (Not necessarily the details but the general idea and how this would make us feel);
  • See ourselves clearly ― who we are being, what we are doing, and why;
  • Able to recognize, look at, and address when we fall into negativity – be it succumbing to anger, aggressiveness, neediness, deep set fears, revenge, passive aggressiveness, or any other negative pattern that causes us or those around us angst;
  • Connect to and accept the fact that we may not always have been acting consciously regarding past attitudes, behaviors, or actions;
  • Be honest with our self about any past attitudes or behaviors that hurt others or did not serve us well;
  • Not be afraid to acknowledge our errors or bad choices, while at the same time forgive our self. We are all only ever doing our best within our current awareness. This also helps us to forgive others;
  • Express our hurts and our needs honestly – even if the words are not eloquently formed;
  • Know when to let go of old habits or outdated beliefs or ideals that are no longer serving our highest good, or that of those around us;
  • Spend a day, a week, or even longer alone because we are comfortable with our self and accepting of who we are;
  • Not be overly discouraged by failure as we know something else will come about.

Becoming authentic and getting acquainted with our essence – our True Self brings us joy, peace within our self, harmony with others, and gives us a clearer vision of our future.

Being authentic is to live and speak from the heart. Without inner fears, unconscious influences, or any neediness our heart-space is open and we are able to feel confident and express honestly to others.

As we start to peel away the layers between our created Self and our True Self our authentic self starts to shine through. We are embracing the Laws of Openness and Authenticity.
